Recommended places to visit when you come to Hirosaki City

1. Boulangerie Ishita

It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to get here from Hirosaki Station, and I believe many people will love this place as much as I do. Boulangerie Ishita is one of my best discoveries in Hirosaki. One of the things I miss the most about my home country is bread, and I was so happy to finally find a place that sells something very similar to the bread I’m used to. It quickly became one of my favorite spots! Moreover, not only is the bread delicious, but all the baked sweets are amazing as well.

2. Pâtisserie Le Chocolat

This patisserie is very close to Hirosaki Park, about a 10-minute walk away. I love sweets, so I was really excited when I first visited this place. Everything I’ve tried so far has been delicious and affordable.

I also think there’s a nice variety of options, so people with different tastes will surely find something they like. There’s also a seating area where you can enjoy your dessert, making it a great spot to rest and relax for a bit after a long walk.

3. Dazai Osamu’s House of Study

It’s about a 20-minute walk from Hirosaki Station, so it’s quite a long stroll, but it’s absolutely worth it. I know many people who have read Dazai Osamu’s works and would love to visit this place. Personally, I really enjoyed his novels, and after reading them, like many others, I became fascinated by the complicated life of Dazai Osamu. Visiting the house where he lived and studied for three years was a wonderful experience, and I would recommend it to anyone who knows this famous writer.

4 Pizzeria pieno

It’s just a 5-minute walk from Hirosaki Station, and the pizzas were truly delicious!

Although they were a bit pricey considering their small size, the flavor more than made up for it. The tiramisu was also excellent, and the restaurant had a fantastic atmosphere.

The staff was very friendly, always smiley and kind to everyone, which makes it easy to enjoy your meal at Pizzeria Pieno. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy lunch or dinner with friends!
